Associated with a holy well (GA125-----). Three small circular cairns were noted to the NW, NE and SE of the holy well on inspection in September 1985. They are probably associated with the penitential aspect of the holy well. During the 1990s works were carried out on the site (pers. comm. B. O'Reilly) and the cairns are now beehive shaped. This site is associated with a holy well and three small circular cairns, likely used as penitential stations where pilgrims would stop to pray or perform acts of penance during religious processions or visits. Such cairns are commonly linked to early Christian pilgrimage practices in Ireland, particularly those connected to monastic sites or saints' wells.
