Situated on a marked W-facing slope. Circular cairn (diam. 7.5m; H 1.6m) with a well-defined kerb of seven orthostatically set granite slabs. The site is encased in peat. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Wicklow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997). Passage tomb, dating to the Neolithic period (c. 3500–2500 BCE). It represents a significant early funerary and ceremonial monument type in the Irish landscape.
