Ballynahimmy is a castle and bawn in County Laois, Ireland. Its name vanished from later maps, but the rectangular enclosure and circular northeast structure still emerge in aerial photographs. That disappearance suggests a place once familiar, then forgotten, now waiting to be remembered through its stones rather than its label.

Marked on 1841 and 1881 editions of the OS 6-inch maps but not on later editions Large subrectangular enclosure or possible bawn (LA002-007----) with a circular structure in NE angle that is visible on aerial photograph (CUCAP V 300, 712); possibly the remains of an unclassified castle and bawn.
