Pádraig Ó Fiannachta, born in 1927 in Ballymore, County Kerry, became a priest and scholar who gave the Irish language a new Bible through An Bíobla Naofa. He taught at Maynooth College, earned the Douglas Hyde prize, and later returned to Dingle as parish priest before dying there in 2016. His life moved between worship, learning and local ceremony, shaping how many people imagine Irish speech and faith still living.
