At 10.30 pm on 3 March 1991, Ulster Volunteer Force gunmen drove into Cappagh, County Tyrone, and killed four people at Boyle's Bar. They shot John Quinn, Dwayne O'Donnell and Malcolm Nugent outside, then entered the pub and killed Thomas Armstrong. Brian Arthurs crouched behind the bar and lived. Nobody was ever charged, though Billy Wright later claimed Cappagh was probably his unit's best attack.
