Old Grave Yard in County Cavan holds two small building foundations inside a rectangular earth bank, suggesting a practical local settlement rather than a grand church. A 1573 coin surfaced near the site, marking the place as active during the sixteenth century and reminding us that ordinary life continued beside death. The compact dimensions and missing structures invite wondering about the neighbours, trades and losses that filled this small Cavan landscape before the buildings vanished.

Rectangular area (int. dims. 27m N-S; 28m E-W) enclosed by a bank of earth and stone and a stone wall. Within this are the foundations of two small buildings, neither likely to have been the site of a church. Davies (1948, 111) recorded that a coin dated 1573 was found in or near it.
