Old Craighall stands on Old Craighall Road in East Lothian, carrying both a sixteenth-century tower and a seventeenth-country house within one name. Stone rooms from two different centuries still touch the same ground, suggesting people kept returning to this exact spot because it suited them. The house may have witnessed feast, flight, birth and burial, though no record has preserved those moments.
