One of seven ogham stones from this early ecclesiastical site. This stone (recorded as 'greenstone', 1.42 x 0.47 x 0.1 m converted from Macalister 1945) was found at Kilgrovan church site (WA031-045----) by William Williams in 1857 (Brash 1879, 256-7). It is now in Mount Mellary Cistercian monastery (WA021-003002-). The inscription has been read as: NISIGNI MAQI ER[….]I by Macalister (1945, 282-3, no. 287) but as: NISIGNI MAQ ER[….], without a final-I in MAQI, by O'Kelly (1945, 152-3). (Moore 1999, 1493)
