Ogham stone in Cill Urlaí

Macalister noted that this slate stone served as a door lintel in an outhouse (1945, 232). It measured 4 feet 2 inches (1.27m) x 1 foot 6 inches (.45m) and featured a number of widely spaced ogham-type characters on one of its exposed angles. Macalister did not attempt a reading, and Henry suggested that the characters were 'accidental markings' (1957, 108). The stone has not been located. The above description is derived from A.
