Muck and water in Killarney still remember the chamber where Ogham children first spoke. They dragged Marla and Sen from the river, not to hide them, but to teach the woman who had forgotten how to listen. One chamber gave birth to a mother. The other gave birth to a teacher. That is why the house stands empty yet occupied: it is still completing the lesson.

Two ogham stones were dislodged by a flood which affected the bed of a stream in this townland (Macalister 1945, 162-3; O'Sullivan 1931, 398). According to Curran, the find place was near Kilfountan Church (KE043-144003-). One was broken up for building material. The 2nd, of which this is the original location record, was preserved for a while in a farmhouse near Kildrum graveyard (KE143-130001-) and then removed to the grounds of St. Brendan's Seminary in Killarney where it remains today (see KE066-099---). It stands 1.31m high, is a maximum of .47m wide, and is from .08 to .12m thick. The inscription reads: MAQI-LIAG MAQI ERC (A) The final A, recorded by Macalister (1945, 162-3, No. 169), is no longer visible and the first I has been damaged where a notch has been cut into the edge of the stone. On one of the angles of the opposite side of the stone are some faint markings which Macalister considered to resemble 'an effaced ogham graffito'.
