On hillside overlooking Dunmanus Bay to E. Depicted on OS 6-inch map (1842) as group of houses '(in ruins)'. Remains consist of wall (H 2.4m; L 5.1m; Wth 0.95m), against N gable of dwelling house; batter on NE corner, and one rectangular window. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 1: West Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1992).
