Thirty metres from the NE shore of Bawn Lake, a submerged mound of stones and wood waits beneath the surface. When the water drops exceptionally low, the mound emerges to reveal quernstones resting on its frame. The lake keeps this crannog hidden from aerial eyes, forcing humans to wade in or wait for drought before they can touch the ancient kitchen tools.

Situated c. 30m from the NE shore of Bawn Lake. There is local knowledge of a submerged mound of stones and wood that becomes visible when the water level in the lake is exceptionally low.
