Noel Purcell

Noel Purcell was born Joseph Patrick Noel Purcell on 23 December 1900 at 11a Lower Mercier Street, Dublin. He became a famous actor in Ireland, Britain and Hollywood, yet he refused a permanent Hollywood contract because it would keep him away from Ireland too long. The house sits in County Dublin, the starting point of a man who carried Dublin into world cinema and still chose to return home.
