Nigg Ferry and Castlecraig Golf Club occupy the same Highland coast, where a 19th-century clubhouse still stands beside a 19th-century golf course. The sea came up through grass, salt and stone, making ordinary play feel like a test of balance. People may have swung there at dusk, hearing the ferry water strike the shore like a drum.
