What is recorded here
Detached rectangular-plan two-storey with attic animal shed, c.1880, now also in use as a store. Yellow brick walls with brick corbels and cast-iron gutters. Some rubble repairs. Timber stable door to south, multiple openings to north with timber hatches. Ventilation slits in gables. Pitched slate roof. Timber stalls to interior.
This purpose-built byre and outbuilding reflects nineteenth-century ideas on good agricultural practice. Its detailing shows more than purely functional concerns. The internal fittings are valuable survivals.
