MULTIPLE CIST CAIRN in Loughloughan

MULTIPLE CIST CAIRN

What is recorded here

Multiple chambers, one cairn. Built Bronze Age, still standing in Loughloughan. Several dead, one hill of stones. Maybe a family, maybe a claim. The stones never repeated, they multiplied.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as MULTIPLE CIST CAIRN. Recorded period: BRONZE AGE; PREHISTORIC. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
