What is recorded here

No visible stones remain on Slievecushnabinnia Mountain, yet Mounds still marks the boundary between Knocknagalty and Lyre. The place is recorded in mapping from the nineteenth century and survives only through that repeated human recognition. Forgetting the stones is easier than forgetting the line they drew.

In rough pasture, on Slievecushnabinnia Mountain, on the townland boundaries between Knocknagalty and Lyre. One of three boundary cairns (LI050-028002-/003-) lie 10m and 25m to the NW, respectively.
