Sallagh Fort preserves a mound and underground passage in County Antrim, though its exact age remains uncertain. The chamber may have served as a shelter, treasury or ritual hole, while the mound marked the place above ground. Its buried shape still suggests that people valued depth, darkness and the hidden life below ordinary terrain.
