What is recorded here
The uncertainty itself is the shape: a cliff-top enclosure in Ballytober, perhaps a promontory fort, still without a confident date. What is known is that the sea took one side and people drew a line across what remained. That is enough to picture hands on wet stone, marking the edge of a small world.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as CLIFF-TOP ENCLOSURE; possibly PROMONTORY FORT. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
