Kilmore mound holds a collapsed stone passage inside a semi-circular bank on a gently sloping rise, beside an old trackway in County Kerry. Maps from the nineteenth century showed a circular enclosure and a cave within it, but later surveying found the western part levelled and only fragments remaining. The shape suggests people built, entered, forgot or removed parts of the place, leaving a hollow ridge where a complete dwelling or hide may once have stood.

KE009-001001- is situated on a rise with the land gently sloping NE. A trackway runs immediately W of it. This site is marked on the 1841-42 OS map as a circular enclosure and 'cave' is marked in the interior; on the later edition map of 1915-16 the W section of the fort has been levelled. Today this site consists of a semi-circular bank constructed mainly of stones, within which are the remains of a collapsed Man-made underground passage. W of Man-made underground passage (KE009-001002-) is an elongated mound KE009-001004- measuring 6m x 3m. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle.
