What is recorded here

At the base of a high limestone scarp NW of Baile an Dúna, Inis Meáin. Consists of two contiguous oval-shaped mounds of earth and stone (each E-W 12.5m, N-S 5.8m, H 1.1m). Possible traces of a stone revetment exist between the mounds at W (Robinson 1980). This may be the 'Ointigh with kitchen-midden [see GA119-121----] attached' referred to by Kinahan (1869d, 29) as lying to N of Dún Chonchúir (GA119-054----).
