Lisnacourty, meaning fort of the court, stands as a circular rath in a sloping Kerry field, holding three small mounds within its boundary. Local tradition claims closed underground passages run beneath the fort, perhaps connecting the mounds in a hidden network. The earth may still hide chambers where people once moved through darkness, while sheep graze above the forgotten doors.

Lisnacourty/Lios na Cúirte (fort of the court). Circular univallate rath KE021-014---- is situated in the corner of a large pastoral field which is gently sloping S. There are three small mounds (KE021-014001-) in the interior, in the NE, SE and W sectors. According to local tradition Man-made underground passages run beneath this fort but have been closed up.
