MOUND

MOUND, BURIAL MOUND?: DONALD'S MOUND

What is recorded here

Donald's Mound still stands in County Antrim, a buried anomaly under ordinary grass. The question mark in its own name admits that men have stacked stones, soil or memory there, then forgot which. Antrim does not explain its anomalies, it keeps them.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as MOUND - BURIAL MOUND?: DONALD'S MOUND. Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. Recorded protection: Scheduled. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
