Moss-side historic settlement in Moss-Side

Moss-side historic settlement

What is recorded here

Moss-side is a post-medieval settlement dating from the eighteenth century. It is no longer visible in the ordinary sense, yet the land still carries the shape of hands that worked it. The absence does not erase the life that formed it.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as Moss-side historic settlement. Recorded period: C18TH; POST-MED. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
