In low-lying pasture, on level terrace on otherwise gentle N-facing slope. Sub-rectangular area (42m NE-SW; 32m NW-SE) defined SSE->E by an earthen scarped edge (H c. 0.5m) with external fosse (D 0.4m; Base Wth 2m) and counter-scarp bank (int. H c. 0.25m; ext. H 0.75m), truncated E->SSE by metalled avenue leading to farmyard to NE. Scarped edge curves gently SSE->W and NNW->E; straight W->NNW; both corners rounded. Interior raised above level of surrounding terrain, slopes down gently towards centre; sharper fall down towards interior along edge of metalled road; slight uneven depression immediately inside scarped edge to SSE.
