Corkagh House stood inside a castle moat on low-lying demesne land, fed by a tributary of the Camac River. The house disappeared in the 1960s, taking its visible rooms and perhaps its daily life with it. The moat remains only as a hidden shape beneath the park, waiting for rain to remember the water that once moved through it.

Located on the low-lying grounds of Corkagh Demesne which has been incorporated into a public park. According to Ua Broin (1944, 203), Corkagh House stood 'within the moat of a castle' (DU021-011001-). This had been fed by a tributary of the Camac River. Corkagh House was demolished in the 1960s.
