The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Shown on 1908 'OS 6-inch' map as rectangular area enclosed by fosse (max. dims. c. 50m NW-SE, 40m NE-SW) with probable leat in short south-east side. Levelled 1961 (Barry 1977, 184). Probably a moated site.
