Situated at a break in a gentle N-facing slope. Rectangular enclosure (dims. 45m E-W; 40m N-S) defined at the N (Wth 8.7m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 2m), E and W (Wth 3-4.5m; H 0.7-1.1m) by an earthen bank; no bank survives on the S side which is bordered by the field boundary. There is a church (WI036-017001-) at the centre of the interior. Shown on the 1838 OS 6-inch map as a rectangular enclosure around the church and recorded as '(Site of) Chapel and Raheen'. No indication of a fosse or entrance.
