Long mound, c. 70m long by 35m wide, with quarried depression on N side; probably natural moraine ridge (O'Kelly 1978, 58). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987). Neolithic passage tomb; constructed c. 3500–2500 BCE. Part of the Brú na Bóinne complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and associated with early ceremonial and burial practices in Ireland.
