On Gradoge Stream, c. 200m S of early ecclesiastical enclosure (13880). Millrace survives as earth-cut channel (L c. 50m) parallel to N side of stream but divided from it by large earthen bank (H c. 6m). Landowner remembers large millstone (diam. c. 6ft; 1ft thick) with hole in centre, on S bank of stream; this area has been reclaimed and planted with trees. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
