Pair of mill races, built c.1880, having rubble limestone walls and separated by grassy pedestrian walking surface. Watered by waterway to north and feeding into Eglinton Canal to south. Recent vertical water-wheel to site.
These mill races demonstrating a high level of technical know-how and form part of the urban grain of Galway. Features such as these are also important reminders of the industrial heritage of Galway City.
