Midmar Castle, Outbuilding stands in Aberdeenshire as a separate structure beside the main castle, its purpose hidden behind distance and age. It may have stored tools, kept animals, or sheltered workers during storms. The main castle took the praise while this smaller building took the rain. Both still stand, but only one gets the name.
