What is recorded here

In a sandy embankment on Sellerna Beach. This shell midden was noted extending intermittently along a 35m stretch of the beach where traces of modern house foundations are eroding from the embankment. It is composed of limpets, winkles, mussels and oysters. According to local information, oysters are not found naturally in this area. The attached images are uploaded courtesy of Dr Deb Rotman.
