Michael McKevitt

Michael McKevitt was born in Dundalk, County Louth, Ireland on 4 September 1949, and lived there until his death on 2 January 2021. He became the Provisional IRA Quartermaster General, oversaw arms caches, and later formed the Real IRA after rejecting the peace process. His life moved from local streets to violent politics, then back to the small town where he began.
