Hot chaos birthed useful shape there. The crescent trench still curves like a forgotten gesture, shielding the furnace from wind. Metalworking is not destruction; it is transformation. What seems lost becomes a tool, a vessel, a lantern, or a knife. The rath is not a dead heap. It is a place where fire and patience made chaos useful.

Located at the centre of rath (ME025-005---). Excavation (E000144) by E. P. Kelly in 1975 recorded furnace bottoms, quantities of slag, baked clay and charcoal.
