Bartholmewe Conra died in 1619 and left his name beneath the feet of worshippers at St Audeon's. The limestone stone lies flush in the nave floor, marked with an IHS, a heart enclosing three nails and a divided coat of arms. People have probably stepped across him hundreds of thousands of times, busy with living while he waited beneath their shoes.

In the nave floor of St Audeon's medieval parish church (DU018-020075-) is a limestone memorial stone commemorating Bartholmewe Conra.( d. 1619).
