Memorial stone in Unknown Townland

Memorial stone

What is recorded here

No visible trace of Audeon remains in Dublin, yet his name still stands in the cathedral chamber where men debate God and power. The chamber is not a museum case but a living warning about the danger of trusting cleverness more than truth. Audeon lost everything and gained the thing empires fear: a witness that cannot be deleted.
In the nave of St Audeon's medieval parish church (DU018-020075----) is a 17th century memorial stone with a marginal description on three sides in false relief (L. 2.40m, Wth 1.24m, T 0.10m). Compiled by: Geraldine Stout Date of upload: 17 August 2012

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
