Memorial stone in Unknown Townland

Memorial stone

What is recorded here

St Audeon's medieval parish church in County Dublin holds a broken limestone slab commemorating Samuel Dismyners, who died in 1690. The missing corner and worn markings suggest the stone survived neglect, movement or deliberate damage before finding its final resting place. It is a quiet witness to the fact that even forgotten men leave marks large enough to measure.
