17th century memorial stone at Kilmallock described in the Urban Survey of County Limerick as following (Bradley et. al. 1989, 161); 'Anastacia Verdon. 1632. Slab with a coat of arms: Or a fret gules. Surrounded by an inscription: NECNON MATRONAE RELIGIOSIS-POSTIVC TVOSV OBITV EIVS -SIMAE ANASTASIAE VERDON/ PARENTV GENEROSI HEROIS GEORGII VE-RDONI QVONDA CO-NSVLIS KILLOCENS-IS ANO SALVT-IS NRAF. 1632/ QVAE' OBIIT 18 XBR-IS ANO DNI 1597 IACOBVS VERDON-VS FILIVS ET HAER-ES EORVM HOC MONVMENTVM FIERI CVRAVIT ANO DNI/ NON FVGIAM PRIVS EXPERIAR NON MORS MIHI TERROR.
