What is recorded here
Kilcaimin holds a small memorial tablet for Uny Kenny, who died in 1687, still lying near the north wall of the medieval church. Stones packed around it suggest people fixed it there rather than losing it to chance. The inscription asks prayer for her soul, turning a forgotten corner into a place where one life was still being remembered long after the date faded from ordinary thought.
Holt (244) recorded a 'small tablet' on the ground close to the N wall of the medieval church (GA095-051----). A packing of stones around it suggested it had been intentionally fixed in that place. The slab bore the following inscription:
