Slievemore, Mayo. The tomb still stands, though no file has yet said when it was built or whose bones it held. Under the grass and stone, a dead person waits for the living to remember the shape of the chamber. The hill has kept the secret since before written history, and the absence of a record makes the place larger, not smaller.

Megalithic tomb in Slievemore is a Neolithic passage tomb, dating to approximately 3500–2500 BCE. It is part of a significant group of tombs on the Dingle Peninsula and reflects early communal burial practices and megalithic architecture in Ireland.
