Megalithic tomb complex, dating to the Neolithic period (c. 3700–2500 BCE), associated with early ceremonial and burial practices in Ireland. Carrowmore is one of the earliest and most significant megalithic sites in the Brú na Bóinne region, predating the construction of Newgrange.
