Medieval chapel 350m south east of Castle Farm

Scheduled monument

What is recorded here

Castle Farm stands beside a medieval chapel that has survived long enough to become a scheduled monument. The distance between them is small enough to walk, yet the chapel belongs to a world where prayer and danger shared the same horizon. It is easy to imagine a person leaving the farm at dusk, crossing open ground, and entering a building where darkness answered every question. The chapel does not need a legend because it is still strange enough without one.
The National Heritage List for England records Medieval chapel 350m south east of Castle Farm as a scheduled monument. The saved point comes from the centre supplied by the official record. Listing does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
