Maureen O'Hara was born in Ranelagh, County Dublin, on 17 August 1920, the redd-haired girl who would become Hollywood's Queen of Technicolor. She trained at the Abbey Theatre from age fourteen, played passionate heroines beside John Wayne, and lived to ninety-five before dying in Boise, Idaho. The house that gave her life belongs now to memory, but her fire still burns in every brave woman who refused to be small.
