What is recorded here

Maud de Lacy was born in Dublin in 1230 into a family marked by loss and royal favour. She inherited half the vast estates of her grandfather Walter de Lacy after his death in 1241, becoming one of the wealthiest women in Ireland. She married twice, both times to men chosen by King Henry III to keep those lands loyal to the Crown. With her second husband Geoffrey de Geneville, she ruled Trim and Ludlow as equals, shaping law and life in those places until her death in 1304.
