Man-made underground passage: THE FAIRY COVE in Doohat OR Crossreagh

Man-made underground passage: THE FAIRY COVE

What is recorded here

Doohat and Crossreagh still whisper about a cove hidden beneath ordinary ground. People built the passage deliberately, carving a small room for secrets, trade or fear. The fairy name suggests humans acknowledged something they could not explain.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as Man-made underground passage: THE FAIRY COVE. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
