In ringfort (CO084-016001-); marked 'Cave' on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Noted by Hartnett (1939, 248-9) as 'shallow depression slightly west of the centre of the fort'.This depression remains visible. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
