Rathgorgin is a man-made underground passage hidden beneath level pastureland in County Galway, Ireland. Orpen recorded a trace near the inner rampart of the rath in 1916. Cody inspected the site in 1989 and found the rath levelled, leaving only slight roughness in the ground surface. The passage vanished from sight, but the altered earth still marks where human hands cut through soil and shadow.

In level pastureland. Orpen (1916, 33-5) recorded the 'trace of a Man-made underground passage' near the inner 'rampart' of the rath (GA096-152----). When inspected by Cody (1989, 281-2, no. 107) the rath had been levelled and, apart from a slight roughness in the ground surface, no visible surface trace of it or the 'Man-made underground passage' survived.
