What is recorded here

That is a man-made underground passage in Mullaghmore South, hidden beneath a rath in County Galway. The passage runs north-northwest to south-southeast for 7.5m inside a 45m by 40m enclosure. It is not a ordinary hole, nor a modern tunnel. The shape and setting suggest people cut or dug it for a purpose now lost.

In level pastureland. Subcircular rath (E-W 45m, N-S 40m), in fair condition, defined by two banks and an intervening fosse. The outer bank does not survive from NE through E to SE. A linear hollow within the centre of the interior, long axis running NNW-SSE for 7.5m, is possibly a Man-made underground passage.
