Man-made underground passage in Meenahony

In ringfort (CO050-071001-). Hartnett (1939, 203) noted 'a drain cut through the centre'. This remains exposed and is stone-lined; it may be remains of Man-made underground passage. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 3: Mid Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
